HISTORY

The Beginning
Founded by Peter Becker, a modern naturalist and mountain enthusiast with a strong ecological vision.
Born and raised between Gertenbach and Berlin, he spent several years traveling, hiking, and exploring before returning to his roots. With a focus on sustainability, he builds using high-quality wood and recycled materials, actively bringing his vision and ecological values to life in his homeland. Aesthetics, design, and attention to detail are especially important to him.

It all started with a tipi… where the first ideas for the treehouse hotel were born.

Then, in the summer of 2015, the treehouse lodge—now Robin's Nest Treehouse Hotel—opened its doors.

At the time, there was no service building. The bar was a simple oak plank under the open sky. Guests sat on pallets around the crackling fire.

Since then, much has been built, rebuilt, and improved. Many ideas and dreams are still in the planning stages—
such as a nature spa with massage treatments and a private swimming pond.

Robin’s Nest continues to grow—along with its team, its mission, and its challenges.

The tree stands as a universal symbol of all cultures for life, wisdom and knowledge, growth and fertility. It connects the cosmos with the earth - the sky with the underground. There is hardly a stronger symbol of growth and vitality. The tree finds veneration in all mythologies. Some people say that in the tree ‘dwells the spirits of our ancestors’ and it still grants security to some tribes today. Fortunately, the rise of a 'new consciousness' of Mother Nature is now happening within our country.

VISION

The Robins Nest will consist of ten small and large tree nests and will eventually connect to a village, which can be reached with bridges and tunnels.

In a quaint, rustic atmosphere, you can spend the night wonderfully and philosophise about the customs of today and yesteryear. Cross boardwalks high above the forest floor for breakfast or at the end of the day warm up by our fireplace.

Numerous nature lovers and forest lovers visit Robin's Nest annually.
